Guide For Selecting The Best Home Gymnastics Equipment

A How-To Guide For Selecting The Best Home Gymnastics Equipment

You’ve decided you want your young tumbler or gymnast to be able to practice at home, but now you’re presented with the problem of where to start. This guide will help you create the perfect home gym in a limited amount of space.

Quality home gym equipment encourages your gymnast to advance his or her skills in a safe, comfortable and affordable environment. At Nimble Sports, we offer top-quality balance beams, horizontal bars, mats and complete home gym combo packages to turn any room in your home into a place for your athlete to train or simply have fun.

Home-Use Considerations

There are a number of issues to consider when purchasing gymnastics equipment for home use. You probably don’t have 1,000 square feet of space or the lofty budget of a professional gym. Nimble Sports gymnastics equipment is designed for home use and junior gymnasts between levels one and four.

The following are a few factors to consider when creating your home gym:

  • Mat considerations: The thickness and dimensions of the mat you choose are more important than most buyers think.  It is important that the mats you purchase provide enough support to prevent injury, and are made to the standard of a competitive gym for your gymnast to practice maneuvers that are more difficult. Nimble Sports offers the best gymnastics mats for home use, which are the ideal thickness to perform a variety of skills, are exactly what you will find at the gym and can be folded for easy storage.
  • Bar considerations: It’s essential to choose horizontal bars that are  table enough for your gymnast yet easy to store when not in use. At Nimble Sports, we offer the best gymnastics bars for home use. These bars are simple to assemble and disassemble, yet strong enough to keep your junior gymnast safe at all times.

Using Your Home Equipment
There’s no doubt your son or daughter will be excited to use his or her home gym equipment the moment it arrives. Our Nimble Sports team provides all of the information needed for you to assemble your new equipment safely and easily. Even better, all of our gymnastics equipment for kids at home is designed for use in small spaces, so it can be tucked away when you’re done with every session.

Monday Motivation from Ragan Smith

From Olympic Alternate to P&G Champ, Ragan is ready for her turn to rule the world of U.S Gymnastics.

Ragan is now considered a seasoned veteran of gymnastics, and one of the only ones that has made their return immediately to the sport after the Rio Olympics.

With a steady performance at P&G’s, however making room for improvement, Smith says she feels like she knows much more about what she is doing now, more so than in the past.

It is now time to build up for Tokyo.

An excerpt from USA Today;

“For the last four years, the American women joked that Simone Biles should get her own division so they could have a crack at a title. Well, they’ve got their chance now and it’s clear that ruling the gymnastics world is not quite as easy as the Olympic champ made it look.

Ragan Smith had 57.4 points Friday, the highest all-around score in the world this year, and has a commanding lead after the first of two days of competition at the P&G Championships. Riley McCusker is 1.3 points behind going into Sunday’s finals…”

Braids look different on everyone, so using a simple braid to spice up your regular ponytail or bun can be a great way to stand out from other gymnasts!

Follow these steps from MissySue.com to achieve the Perfect Simple Braid into a Bun for your Gymnastics Meet!

  1. Find the spot where you want to start your braid, and take a 2″ section of hair right at the hairline and divide it into three pieces.
  2. Begin the braid by crossing the back piece over the middle then the front piece over the middle.
  3. Next, cross the back piece over the middle and bring it in to the larger section of hair to create the french braid style.
  4. Cross the front piece over the middle, bringing in another larger section of hair.
  5. Continue braiding until the braid reaches a point you’d like it to end at, and finish braiding the hair into a regular braid.
  6. Tie off the braid with a clear elastic band.
  7. Next, you can gather the rest of the hair into a low ponytail, messy bun, or high and tight “Aly Bun”!
  8. Pin down any loose pieces to create the look you want.
  9. Finish with a few spritzes of hairspray and swipe on your favorite lipstick and glitter eyeliner!
